The Orange County School Board on Tuesday approved a $70,000 sponsorship contract with CFL Pizza Hut. The in-store and home-delivery restaurant will appear as an advertiser on the backs of more than 2.9-million event admission tickets for 2013-14.

OCPS represented themselves and seven other Central Florida school districts in the sponsorship agreement. The Pizza Hut offer will appear on ticket stock for Seminole, Lake, Volusia, Marion, Osceola, Brevard, and Flagler school districts.

CFL Pizza Hut has held the ticket-back advertiser position for three years and was a co-sponsor of OCPS district basketball and football promotions during the same period.

In other developments, the OCPS Public Relations Department has now reached the $1.1 million mark in advertising revenue since the start of the sales and marketing unit in fall 2009. The unit generates non-traditional revenue for OCPS through athletics, licensing, web advertising and event sponsorships, among other methods.
