A 43-year-old obese man whose skin became fused to a chair in which he sat for two years because he couldn’t move, has died.
The Ohio man, who has not been named, was found by emergency services on Sunday, fused to his recliner and unconscious. He was rushed to a local area hospital in critical condition where he later died, reports dailymail.co.uk.
A hole had to be cut in the wall of his house in order to help remove the man from his chair.
Health officials said, the morbidly obese man was found sitting in his own faeces and urine and covered in maggots.
The man’s girlfriend told officials she had been feeding him in the chair as he was too big to get up.
There are news reports that the man insisted on eating, drinking and sleeping in the chair.
