Just in time for the fall holiday season, local residents and visitors can enjoy downtown festivities and internationally famous Thai food. Four restaurateurs have partnered to bring the experience of Thailand to downtown Winter Haven.
Thai Haven opened on August 29 and is located at 309 West Central Avenue in Winter Haven. Co-founder Jitlada Korsangwichai partnered with three longtime restaurateurs, who each have between 10 and 20 years of restaurant operations and service experience. The menu offers all authentic Thai recipes in an inviting atmosphere that features a pictorial Thailand experience.
“We want our guests to feel as though they are walking into their own living room, but also to enjoy the beautiful Thai culture. The atmosphere is very trendy and family-oriented,” said Korsangwichai.
Harmony is the guiding principle behind each Thai dish. Thai cuisine brings the marriage of Centuries-old Eastern and Western influences harmoniously combined into something uniquely Thai. Menu specialties at Thai Haven include appetizers, soups, exotic seafood dishes, duck, pad (stir fry) and curry dishes, with dinner prices ranging from $11.00 to $21.00, and a two-course lunch meal for $10.00. The lunch menu is a revolving menu and features new menu items each month.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday for lunch from11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. for dinner, Friday includes lunch and dinner hour extends to 10:00 p.m. Saturday hours are from noon until 10:00 p.m.; Sunday hours are from noon until 9:00 p.m.
Future expansion plans include adding a bar, which will serve mixed drinks, delivery service and catering offerings. A festive Grand Opening event is being planned for early 2014.
