Entertainment stars from across a wide spectrum of the universe will gather at the Amway this evening, bearing witness to a game not known for defense. Though not as significant as landing on the moon, hosting the NBA All Star game is one giant step for Orlando the Beautiful.
Celebrating and creating a pampered and relaxed atmosphere for our exclusive visitors was proudly accepted by Jane Layne Events and climaxed at the Ballroom at Church Street. Founder, Erica Berman, produced an impressive relaxation station as celebrities were treated to gifts, refreshments, and a quick get-away.
Though constrained by a shortened season, the professional team at Jane Layne Events efficaciously enlisted the support of local as well as globally recognized sponsors:
Millenia Nails and Spa
A hot spot visited by guests of the event, Millenia Nails & Day Spa, provided multiple services as well as beauty consultations continuously throughout our four-day experience. In operation for five years, Bryan Whitehurst, business relations manager, has created a reasonably priced resort style boutique touch without compromise.
Community Connection: Bryan was reared in Orlando, is a UCF alumnus, and plans on opening several stores throughout the Greater Central Florida within the next five years.
Approached by Jane Layne Events to participate, Millenia Nails & Day Spa’s products (highlighted by jelly polish) and services are available seven days a week. Located at 4192 Conroy Road, Suite 105, additional information may be found by visiting www.millenianailsanddayspa.com.

Stephanie Wood
Local artist Stephanie Wood proved, via live demonstrations, that art is alive and doing well in the Greater Orlando Area. Throughout the NBA All Star event, Stephanie’s stunning work gravitated attendees with her use of vivid color and abstract mannerisms, creating a dreamscape encouraging personal interpretation behind each stroke.

Jewelry By Rosalina, Inc.
As stated by Rosalina Tran Lydster, her designs are bold, colorful, decidedly expressive, and stunning. Without doubt, after examining much of her work, I agree.
Rosalina founded her courture line in 2001 and has been in the spotlight from day one. With growing recognition and success to her credit, Rosalina is currently the most sought-after designer by such celebrities as Paris Hilton, Tom Hanks, Pamela Anderson, Paula Abdul, Elton John, and countless others.
From minimal to exotic, her passion is felt with every design. Though some of her designs were a tad over the top for me, I was particularly attracted to three specific pieces:
1. Rubelite, diamond and white gold ring
2. Peridot, diamond, pink sapphire, white told and rose gold ring
3. Green tourmaline, diamond and white gold flower ring
Now that my top three list is known and my birthday is just around the corner… just saying.

Peroni Italy
Highlighting the bar garden area, guests were treated to one of the smoothest alcohol beverages available from around the globe. Though not a drinker myself, I did sneak a sip and, to my surprise, expressed pleasure. Looking across the ballroom, everyone was enjoying the taste as well.
Community Connection: Represented by Rachel Friedman, Peroni was served with smile and pleasant conversation. A UCF double-major student, Rachel is studying marketing and entrepreneurship with her sights on an MBA.
Looks like tip is only a few hours away so best get my belongings in order. Tomorrow we’ll highlight Heather on Earth and should have time for a grand thank you to Erica Berman for successfully bringing her commitment, drive, and passion to Orlando.
Enjoy the game; we’ll catch up tomorrow.
