Three persons, including a mother and son, were arrested on Wednesday and close to five pounds of crystal and liquid meth seized when Polk County Sheriff’s Organized Crime Unit and officers of the Drug Enforcement Administration raided two mobile homes in Eloise.
Law enforcement officers executed two search warrants on two mobile homes located at 182 6th Street in Eloise and arrested 39-year-old Jesusa Alvarado, who they found hiring under a bed.
Alvarado was charged with trafficking over 400 grams of methamphetamine and conspiracy to traffic the drug.
Two other suspects, 31-year-old Jorge Negrete, who said he was on vacation from Mexico and 14-year-old Arthuro Huerta, were located just outside of the residence when the search warrant was executed.
Negrete was also charged with trafficking over 400 grams of meth and conspiracy to traffic meth.
Huerta, the son of Alvarado was charged with possession of meth, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At the second mobile home, officers found several females and children inside, along with baggies containing meth residue and a small amount of cannabis in Huerta’s bedroom.
The Department of Children and Families was contacted regarding Alvarado’s other three children ages 7, 9, and 10 who were all inside the residence at the time of her arrest.
The investigation is on-going.
