Arkeisha Perez, the mother of the 5 year-old that was shot on August 4th, has been re-arrested.
Perez came to the Orlando Police Department Information desk this afternoon seeking the money that was siezed from her apartment. The money was in fact seized for forfeiture along with the Cannabis located in the apartment.
The OPD Drug Unit obtained an arrest warrant for her arrest today. The detective confirmed the warrant and she was also taken into custody and has been transported to the Orange County Jail.
At the same time, in an interesting turn of events, OPD has arrested the boyfriend of Arkeisha Perez in relationship to the shooting of the 5-year-old victim. Earlier, on August 11, 2009, a judge had issued a Probable Cause Arrest warrant.
Somele Jean Calixte is at OPD and will be taken to the Orange County Jail shortly.
