Cruise ship fans can’t stop celebrating with the news that the Allure of the Seas, which with her sister ship Oasis of the Seas holds the distinction of being the world’s largest passenger vessel, reached its home port, Port Everglades in Florida, last month. The party is likely to continue in 2011.
If the number of new launches is anything to go by, the global financial crisis seems to have had little effect on the cruise liner industry. In 2010, there were 11 new cruise vessels delivered while a further nine are scheduled to go into service in both 2011 and 2012.
