Deputies are investigating a double shooting on Orange County’s west side, which left one man dead and another in critical condition.
The shooting happened just before 1:00 a.m. on Friday, in the 8700 block of Wellesley Lake Drive near Apopka Vineland Road and West Colonial Drive.
When authorities arrived at the location, they found two black males in their early twenties in a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Investigators say, the passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Â The other victim, the driver of the vehicle was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Â Â Investigators also say, there was a third occupant in the vehicle who was unhurt.
Detectives spent much of the rest of the morning gathering evidence and talking to witnesses.  The names of the victims have not been released and  the motive for the murder is unclear at this time.
