Alvin Moore, Vice Mayor of Eatonville and candidate for Orange County Commission District 2, called on Florida’s Black Democrats to do all that’s necessary to defeat Gov. Rick Scott in November.
Moore made the appeal as he brought greetings on behalf of the people of Eatonville, at the Florida Democratic Black Caucus convention, on Saturday.
“We all have important work ahead of us, we need to get this poor excuse for a Governor out of office. No matter which candidate for governor you support, we can all agree on that,” he said.
Moore added, “During the dog days of summer – make sure you knock on one more door, make one more phone call, and check to make sure your cousin Pookie has voted by election day.”
Moore is running for County Commission in the District that covers Apopka, Eatonville, Lockhart, Ocoee, Pine Hills, Rosemont and Zellwood.
The election for Orange County Commission, District 2 will be held August 26, 2014.
