A Central Florida water park is in the news again.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Sex Crimes Detectives have arrested David Thomas, 29, at Typhoon Lagoon.
Thomas is from Washington State and is charged with one count of lewd molestation.
Earlier this month, this newspaper reported on July 7th that, there were four attacks in less than one month at Central Florida water and at that time, law enforcement officials were currently investigating the most recent sexual assault on a teenage girl at Disney Typhoon Lagoon.
Back then, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that a 15-year-old girl was attacked inside the wave pool at the park. The girl got away from the attacker and told her father that a man pulled her bathing suit off and groped her in the wave pool. The victim and her father positively identified the man they said attacked her.
In that case, Orange County deputies arrested 51-year-old Robert Chester Double Jr., of New York. Authorities say other victims have also come forward. Double is now in police custody, charged with lewd or lascivious molestation and could be facing additional charges.
