Michael Jackson’s Death Ruled a Homicide

Source: thesmokinggun.com

A search warrant affidavit sworn by a Los Angeles detective provides a detailed account of the police probe into the death of Michael Jackson, whose doctor told cops that he had been treating the pop star’s insomnia by intravenously administering the powerful anesthetic propofol in the weeks before Jackson’s June 25 death.

The affidavit of LAPD Detective Orlando Martinez was included in a search warrant application filed last month in Houston, Texas, where Dr. Conrad Murray maintained an office and a storage unit.

Murray, reportedly the subject of a criminal probe stemming from Jackson’s death, told investigators that he “felt that Jackson may have been forming an addiction to” propofol, and tried to “wean Jackson off the drug.” The affidavit notes that Jackson “was very familiar with the drug and referred to it as his ‘milk.'” The affidavit also quotes an L.A. coroner’s official saying that preliminary toxicology results showed that “Jackson’s cause of death was due to lethal levels of propofol.”  The coroner has classified Jackson’s death a homicide, according to a law enforcement source cited today by the Associated Press, which reported that the ruling makes it “more likely” that criminal charges will be filed against the 56-year-old Murray.

  1. We have to give the man his due: Michael Jackson was – beyond a shadow of a doubt – a great artist whose recorded legacy will endure for decades, maybe even a century or more. But an examination of his life is riddled with questions of all that might have been; all that should have been. It is more than likely that this was a severely mentally ill human being who never sought the treatment he so desperately needed; surrounded by fawning sycophants who enabled his sickness by constantly reassuring him that he could do no wrong. As John Lennon once said in the same context about Elvis Presley, another victim of the excesses of fame: “It’s always the courtiers that kill the king”.

The sad, inescapable truth is that for reasons we will probably never be able to fully understand, his talent and his career were ultimately wasted. Like Charlie Parker, Montgomery Clift, Judy Garland and Lenny Bruce before him, his brilliance as an artist would be overshadowed by severe, psychological torment and an unexplainable desire for self-destruction. Therein lies the real, unspeakable tragedy of Michael Jackson.

  2. Has anyone stop to think, micheal was a drug addict. He would have obtain these drugs with or without Dr.Murray. why is it micheal seems to be at no fault in this matter. If it was a poor person, they would have been labled an addict ,end of story. Micheal was a very strange person. i also believe he was depressed. I am not buying his fire victim excuse! My family member was in a serious fire over 70 percent of body burned. He never became an addict or addicted to pills. I wish his family would stop hiding behind that lame excuse.Micheal was a very talented human being. Its just a shame he threw it all away behind drugs. i just pray for the children!
