Mayra Uribe for Orange County Mayor Campaign Sees Early Fundraising, Grassroots Success

The Mayra Uribe for Orange County Mayor campaign is seeing early fundraising and grassroots success, and the candidate says it is providing momentum.

Orange County mayoral candidate and current Commissioner Mayra Uribe announced that her campaign and political action committee raised $108,426 combined in its first official fundraising reporting.

Uribe outraised her opponents who solicited contributions in this reporting period, saying she did it in half the time while sending a powerful message about the strength and seriousness of her candidacy in the nonpartisan race to lead Central Florida’s largest county.

“This campaign is about putting people first, not politics,” Mayra Uribe said. “We’re building a movement centered around better-paying jobs, attainable housing, smarter transportation, safe neighborhoods, and a local government that works for the people.”

The Uribe campaign’s early fundraising success reflects broad grassroots support across party lines. Donations came in from every corner of Orange County, with supporters citing Uribe’s commitment to affordability, transparency, and nonpartisan problem-solving as major reasons for backing her bid.

“Raising $88,226.89 for the campaign and another $20,200 for our political action committee this early without partisan political machines behind us proves that everyday people are ready for bold, common-sense leadership,” Uribe added. “This is what democracy looks like: neighbors, workers, small business owners, seniors, and students stepping up to shape the future of Orange County together.”

Uribe’s first fundraising push focused on key priorities that resonated with working families across the region, including:

  • Creating better-paying jobs and improving affordability for everyday residents
  • Expanding attainable housing options that middle-class families can afford
  • Investing in smarter transportation and clean growth to reduce traffic and improve air quality
  • Strengthening neighborhood safety through community-based public safety initiatives
  • Fixing the local government to be more transparent, accountable, and responsive
  • Building a future that belongs to everyone, no matter their zip code or background
  • Standing strong against personal political attacks, and doing what’s right no matter the pressure
  • Leading through non-partisan partnerships with Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike

The campaign’s first financial report was submitted on time to the Orange County Supervisor of Elections and reflects the contributions of hundreds of area residents. Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Russell raised almost $63,000 in the race for Mayor and Christopher Messina raised over $36,000. Former Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy is in the race but joined this month and did not have to report fundraising totals.

“This is just the beginning,” Uribe said. “We’re organizing block by block, building trust voter by voter, and proving that integrity and hard work can still win elections in Florida.”

The Mayra Uribe for Mayor campaign said it will continue its community outreach efforts in the weeks ahead with town halls, volunteer events, and policy roundtables, aimed at engaging voters across all six districts of Orange County.
