A teenager who pulled a revolver on a Kissimmee police officer is now in the Osceola County Jail.
18-year-old Carlos Alfredo Hernandez Torres, of Kissimmee, is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest without violence and tampering with physical evidence.
Torres is accused of pulling an H&R .32 caliber revolver after a police officer attempted to make contact with him in the area of John Young Parkway and Lake Tivoli. The cop was looking for a loitering and prowling suspect, later identified as Torres, around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
As the police officer made contact with Torres he pulled the revolver out of his waistband and pointed it directly at the officer, investigators said.
Torres did not fire the weapon, but instead fled from the officer.
Police set up a perimeter and a K-9 led officers to The Gables apartment community at 1205 Bermuda Lakes Lane. There, Torres was located sitting near the top of the staircase leading to one of the apartments.
Torres was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Osceola County Jail without bond.
