A man was indicted for murder for shooting and killing two people in Orange County.
A local grand jury formally indicted 48-year-old Leandro Correa on two counts of First Degree Murder (with a Firearm) for shooting and killing two people.
On July 4, 2024, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies found two men shot by an unknown gunman. The suspect shot the first victim, Jose Carrasquillo, at a mobile home park.
The gunman then traveled down the road and shot the second victim approximately 3.5 miles away from the location of the first shooting.
Both victims died from their injuries.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office investigators determined Correa was the prime suspect, located him and took him into custody.
The State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure an indictment against Correa for two counts of First Degree Murder (with a Firearm).
