Detectives have identified and notified the next of kin of a man found deceased in the Central Florida woods last week behind the Goodwill store in DeLand.
Volusia County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the wooded area behind 1600 N. Woodland Blvd. on Wednesday afternoon after a person reported finding a male body at the end of a trail in the woods.
The surrounding area is populated by campsites.
There were no indications of foul play or suspicious circumstances.
The deceased has been positively identified as 40-year-old Cody Stover.
His official cause of death is pending the completion of a full autopsy report.
