An Illinois man, who didn’t know it was a felony to record audio of a cop, even if the officer is on a public way, could have ended up facing 15 years in prison.
That’s the situation of Louis Frobe, who was on his way to the movies one night when he was stopped by a police officer.
“I’m in a private car on a public street and it’s a public official,” Louis Frobe told ABC7, rawstory.com reports. “Why shouldn’t I be able to record what’s going on to prove my innocence?”
