Troopers are investigating a fatal crash on east Anderson Street at Primrose Drive on Monday morning, which left a passenger in one of the vehicles dead.
According to troopers, a 2000 Dodge Durange, driven by Edgle Gilliam, 82, of Orlando, was traveling north on Primrose Drive approaching the intersection of east Anderson Street. A 2007 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by James M. Kelly, 54, also of Orlando, was heading east in the left thru lane on east Anderson Street approaching the intersection of Primrose Drive.
Both drivers stated that they had a green traffic signal, and both vehicles entered the intersection. The front of the Dodge struck the right side of the Pontiac Grand Am.
Kelly, the driver of the Dodge was traveling with a passenger, Anthony B. Kluesner, 56 years, of Panama City Beach.
Gilliam, Kelly and Kluesner were all transported to a local hospital. Kluesner succumbed to his injures sustained in the crash.
Today’s crash brings the total pedestrian fatalities in Orlando to date to eight.
