A man who snatched a woman’s purse as she left a store and then grabbed her 3-year-old daughter while demanding money, has been arrested.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said, a suspect, later identified as Willie Bush, 38, approached a Hispanic female as she exited a store at 1234 West Michigan Street and snatched her purse.
Investigators said, the female victim was able to wrestle the purse back from Bush, who then proceeded to grab the victim’s 3-year-old daughter. Bush demanded money from the woman in exchange for her daughter, investigators said.
The woman was able to retrieve her daughter from Bush, when she threatened to call the Sheriff’s office.
Bush, a transient, was arrested about one mile from the scene of the incident.
Bush was charged with robbery and deputies said, other charges are pending. He was booked into the Orange County Jail on a $2,500 bond, just after 5:30 pm, on Tuesday.
