A man was recently arrested for exposing himself at a Central Florida public park.
On February 11th, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Sexual Predator Unit was proactively patrolling parks when they received a call regarding a sexual offense in progress at Town ‘N’ Country Greenway Park near Tampa.
A victim walking along the pedestrian trail called 911 after encountering a male subject who exposed himself and was engaging in lewd sexual behavior.
Deputies immediately responded and located the suspect, 26-year-old Dudane Anderson III. Anderson was taken into custody and charged with Exposure of Sexual Organs, Arrest on Failure to Obey Written Promise to Appear FTA- Battery, and Arrest on Failure to Obey Written Promise to Appear FTA- Petit Theft ($100 or Less). Further investigation revealed Anderson had two active warrants issued for Failure to Appear – Petit Theft and Failure to Appear – Battery.
“This kind of obscene behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our community,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Families visit parks to enjoy time together, and children should feel safe while playing. Thanks to the quick response of our deputies, this individual was quickly taken into custody.”
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
