An armed man, who robbed a gas station and pharmacy on S. Orange Blossom Trail on Saturday morning, was apprehended by Orange County deputies, shortly after his robbery spree.
Dharar Ayachi, 33, walked into the Hess Gas Station, just before 8:00 a.m., and asked the clerk for cigarettes. He promptly told the clerk that he had a firearm and demanded that the safe be opened. The clerk complied and Ayachi asked for $10s and $20s and left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Ayachi then proceeded to the CVS Pharmacy, one block north of the Hess Gas Station, at 12077 S. Orange Blossom Trail, where he stole merchandise, investigators said. When confronted by store employees, Ayachi threatened to shoot them and then fled the store.
Investigators apprehended Ayachi walking northbound on S. Orange Blossom Trail. He was positively identified by Hess and CVS employees.
Ayachi faces charges of robbery with a firearm and robbery with the threat of a weapon. He was booked into the Orange County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
