Deputies are searching for three men, one of whom shot a 50-year-old man on Saturday, after a failed robbery attempt.

Investigators went to the Lyme Bay Colony Condos located at 1836 Warringwood Drive, on Orange County’s west side, just after 11:00 a.m., in reference to a shooting call.

The victim told investigators that he saw three black males walking through the apartment complex looking suspicious. An argument ensued and one of the men pulled out a handgun and attempted to rob the victim of his wallet. As the man tried to run he was shot in the lower back by the suspect.

The 50-year-old man was taken to the Orlando Health with a non-life threatening injury.  Investigators have not released his identity.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call Crimeline at # 800-423-TIPS.
