A major fire broke out at the Vacation Lodge Hotel on US 192 in Kissimmee, just after 10:00 a.m. on Sunday night and after fighting the blaze for several hours, Osceola County firefighters have not yet been able to bring it under control. The fire which began in one room quickly spread to several other rooms, before engulfing the entire building.
About 150 persons were displaced and three persons were taken to local area hospitals suffering from smoke inhalation.
According to news reports, the smoke from the fire is visible along the I-4 corridor.
