Lyman High School is hosting the Greyhound Challenge 2012, a regional FTC (FIRST Technical Challenge) robotics qualifying Tournament. This competition, which is open to participation by high school robotics teams from across Florida, will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012. FIRST “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” facilitates over $20 million in scholarships each year to participants in the FIRST robotics programs.
Opening ceremonies are at 10am and the competition will conclude at approximately 3:00pm. The Greyhound Challenge 2012 tournament will take place at Lyman High School, located at 865 South Ronald Reagan Boulevard, Longwood, FL 32750. The event is free to the public.
Winning teams will have a chance to qualify for the League Championship to be held at Hagerty High in January, and then the Florida State FTC Championship scheduled to be held at Embry Riddle University on March 2, 2013.
