Local Talent to Perform in 96th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Families, together with friends and neighbors, traditionally gather to usher in the season of giving by watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year, for the 96th holiday spectacular, 63 Macy’s colleagues will form the Macy’s Singing Christmas Tree—a holiday chorus and “live” 360-degree tree—to regale the nation with the perfect gift of song, embodying the holiday spirit.

Two colleagues from the Orlando area will be performing in the Parade as part of Macy’s Singing Christmas Tree.

Arriving from all over the country, Macy’s colleagues who auditioned and were selected to participate have gathered in person for the first time in New York City to rehearse the holiday number as a unified choral group. On Thanksgiving morning, the hand-picked Macy’s choir will board the multi-tiered float that measures three-stories tall to form the grandest and most magical of holiday trees.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their vocal range and singing abilities while traveling down the famous Parade route alongside iconic giant character balloons, floats, marching bands, dance groups, celebrities and clowns.

The 96th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, live from New York City, airs on NBC this Thursday, November 24th, from 9am to noon in all time zones and can be streamed on Peacock.
