Less Americans now fear the federal government involvement in health care decisions compared to 17 months ago, when the new health reform law was being hotly debated throughout the country.
A new Rasmussen national telephone survey finds that 41% of Likely U.S. Voters now fear the federal government, down from 51% when the question was first asked in August 2009 and 48% in June 2010.
Slightly more voters, (45%) now fear private insurance companies more than the government when it comes to health care decision-making. That compares to 41% in August 2009, according to the survey findings. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided which they fear more.
The Republican-led House is expected to vote to repeal the health care law this week.
