The Florida Lottery recently announced that Macina Rametta, of Fort Myers, claimed a top prize of $2 million from the Monopoly™ Secret Vault scratch-off game.
The Lee County woman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,153,865.00. She claimed her prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The Southwest Florida winner turned $10 into $2 million when she purchased her winning ticket from Speedway, located at 4960 Palm Beach Boulevard in Tice. The retailer received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The scratch-off game, $10 MONOPOLY SECRET VAULT, launched in July and features four top prizes of $2 million, with two top prizes remaining according to the Florida Lottery. This game offers over $176 million in cash prizes, including 6.8 million winning tickets.
The game’s overall odds are 1-in-3.41.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $63.1 billion in prizes, created 2,175 millionaires, and generated more than $19.24 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
