UPDATE:
Kissimmee police said the suspicious package turned out to be a broken light fixture that had exposed wires on the top.
The Orange County Bomb Squad destroyed and disposed of the package.
Osceola County Sheriff’s Office K9 team did a precautionary sweep of the building and found no other devices. Roads around City Hall that were shut down were re-opened around 2:30 p.m.
A statement from Kissimmee police said, City Hall remains closed until 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4.

Kissimmee’s City Hall has been evacuated on account of a suspicious device that has been found, police said.
All streets surrounding City Hall are closed and motorists are urded to stay out of the area.
The Orlando Bomb Squad has been called to the scene.
