The State of Florida executed Robert Waterhouse on Wednesday night for the January 2, 1980 murder of Deborah Kammerer.
Waterhouse, whose execution was delayed more than two hours last night because of last minute appeals, was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m., by lethal injection.
The last meal ingested by Waterhouse, before his execution included, two pork chops, two eggs cooked sunnyside up, two slices of toast, one slice of cherry pie, one pint of butter pecan ice cream, one pint of orange juice, and a pint of milk, Reuters reported, according to northfork.patch.com.
Waterhouse was sentenced to life in prison in 1967 for the murder of 77-year-old Ella Carter in Greenport, the year before. In 1980, while out on parole, he raped and killed Deborah Kammerer in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Back in 1985, Waterhouse was set to be put to death, but a stay was issued a few days before he was to be executed.
Governor Rick Scott signed Waterhouse’s death warrant on January 4, earlier this year.
