Earlier this month, a Central Florida jury delivered a verdict in an Orlando stabbing murder in the Delaney Park neighborhood.
Following a six-day trial, the jury delivered a guilty verdict against William Franklin, a 14-time convicted felon, for First Degree Murder with a Weapon.
As a result, Franklin was sentenced to life in prison.
On August 16, 2020, Orlando Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence on Jasmine Avenue in Orlando’s Delaney Park Neighborhood, following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found Erin Hartigan, the victim, deceased inside her home.
During the ongoing investigation at the scene, the authorities located the suspect, William Franklin, nearby. Franklin was promptly arrested and later charged with the murder of Hartigan.
