Jurors got to see graphic photographs of Trayvon Martin moments after being shot by George Zimmerman on February 26, 2012, when prosecutors called Sergeant Anthony Raimondo of Sanford Police Department to the witness stand.

Raimondo testified that when he arrived he saw Martin lying face down with his hands under his body.

“Did you see any movement from Trayvon Martin’s body as you approached,” State Attorney John Guy asked.

“No, I did not,” a clearly emotional Raimondo replied.

Raimondo told jurors that he attempted to get a pulse, but was unable to get one.

Raimondo also testified that he tried to breathe life into Trayvon, initially without a mask, but was unsuccessful. He also said he heard bubbling sounds coming from Trayvon which meant that air was getting into or escaping from the chest that ought not to be case.

Visibly moved when the photographs of Trayvon were being shown, his father, Tracy Martin walked out of the Seminole County Courtroom.  His mother, Sybrina Fulton, averted her eyes and looked away.

Prosecutors also called Crime Scene Technician Diana Smith to the stand.  She walked jurors through how the crime scene was processed, including searching for blood evidence, which she didn’t find.  She also explained how various items, including the firearm used by Zimmerman to kill Martin,  were processed for Touch DNA and latent prints.

Selene Bahadoor, the ninth witness for the state, also testified on Tuesday.  She said she heard movement outside her townhome the night Martin was killed that “sounded like something hitting the concrete.”  She also told jurors she heard some type of running from “left to right” and saw “arms flailing.”

Bahadoor also said she heard what sounded like “no.”

Defense attorney Mark O’Mara sought to discredit Bahadoor’s testimony by indicating she had not in any prior statements to law enforcement or during her deposition said the running she heard was from “left to right.”

“Was today the first time you said there was movement from ‘left to right’?,” O’Mara pressed.

“Based on these transcripts it appears so,” Bahadoor sheepishly responded.  Bahadoor then said she had talked to her sister about the movement from ‘left to right.’

O’Mara also got Bahadoor to admit that she had ‘liked’ the JusticeforTrayvon Martin Facebook page as well as signed a Change.org petition which was titled, ‘Prosecute the Killer of Trayvon Martin.’

Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of Martin, an unarmed black teen.  He has claimed self-defense.

Prosecutors say, Zimmerman followed, profiled and killed Martin, believing that he was up to no good.
