Sometimes, in the darkness, there are glimmers of hope. For West Orlando, that hope is Jason Henry, candidate for Florida House District 46. And he proved it at a little debate at a little church on 26th Street.
You want to fix America? Find more Jason Henry’s. For the voters in District 46: Jason Henry is your guy.
You want to know something else? He proves that America still works. He proves that no matter what, no matter how bad things are, no matter how desperate we can become, there is always that unique, fundamental Americanism that resides within all of us.
He’s all that and the future.
Young, good looking and brilliant, Henry convinced a full house that it doesn’t matter which party is in control in Tallahassee, it only matters who is there for District 46. And, whoever that is, the next state representative must seek out the proper committee assignments, must demand that the cash starved district receives its fair share of state dollars, must fight for earmarks when necessary.
With absolute accuracy he declared that the 40% recidivism rate in the district will only be reduced when the state takes responsibility for causing that recidivism, with its antiquated and outdated criminal justice practices.
Mr. Henry outlined an agenda that would let every single resident in West Orlando know what his day-to-day schedule would entail when he becomes their state representstive. A man on a mission that could only be described as a dogged, relentless, never surrender mindset that the area needs to bring back optimism and hope.
For the voters and residents who couldn’t make it to The Experience Christian Center, don’t worry too much about it. He was there for you. And, he’ll be there for you when you send him to Tallahassee.

Are you serious??? Lol I know Jason writes for the same paper…but now you have gone too far! This is too funny…good looking and hope??? Really for someone too lazy to gather petitons?? You are a joke and so is this paper!! No wonder the district is in so much trouble!!!
Great story about a candidate with a real plan to change District 46. It amazes me that anyone could say something negative about a candidate who spoke so well last night at the Experience Christian Center debate. People who spend their time writing negative comments all day obviously have nothing to do with their time. I spent countless hours collecting petitions for Jason and believe in him wholeheartedly. I have seen him take the little time he has off from work and with his family to talk to his constituents. In fact, many times that he was out collecting petitions, rather than get more in volume, he choose to stay and have real conversations with people about the change that needs to happen in District 46. Jason is not just someone I know personally, he is someone I respect as a leader and a visionary. If anonymous took the time to talk to Jason in the way that I have personally watched Jason talk to people in the community, he would know that Jason is committed, passionate, and has a real vision. I am so sick of people who have nothing better to do with their time than to bash people who are working so hard for our state and communities. He lives in the District, he believes in change, and he has a real plan to make those changes happen. Not a single candidate in last nights debate had the knowledge, specificity in responses, or clarity of thought that Jason had. Go team Henry!
Jason Henry is one of many great men I know. He is all about change, if anyone really knows him laziness is not one of his characteristics. Vote Jason Henry!
