The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation following the death of a Central Florida inmate.
Detention deputies at Falkenburg Road Jail found 57-year-old inmate Gary Grider unresponsive in his bed.
Authorities said he was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
HCSO is conducting a death investigation and will follow up with the Medical Examiner’s Office for an official cause of death. Next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing, according to local law enforcement.
