A Young Guns defendant, reportedly a Jamaican national and an illegal immigrant, has been indicted for murder for shooting and killing a man outside of a Central Florida apartment complex.
The Volusia County grand jury heard the case of Danitto Simpson, the Young Guns defendant accused of killing a man following a verbal argument over a woman outside of a Daytona Beach apartment complex on September 10, 2023.
Simpson is reportedly Jamaican national and an illegal immigrant. Authorities said he is in the country illegally on an expired Jamaican visa.
In the indictment, Simpson was charged with First-Degree Murder (Firearm) for killing 24-year-old Donnell Williams outside the Daytona Garden Apartments.
According to law enforcement, Simpson was also wanted for beating his pregnant girlfriend with a broomstick.
The defendant was arrested in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before being extradited to Volusia County to face the murder charge.
The case against Simpson was investigated by the Daytona Beach Police Department.
