Egyptian, Colombian, Virgin Island Dining Experiences from FusionFest

Egyptian, Colombian and Virgin Island cultural dining experiences were announced by FusionFest in Orlando.

FusionFest’s monthly Diversitastic! Dining experiences return for the fall season over the next three months. Each two-hour experience is at an authentic, locally-owned restaurant and highlights the cultural heritage of the owner through food, entertainment and cultural content.

August 20th features the high-flying pie making at the Egyptian Dough Show. Sight, sounds, smells and taste buds enjoy the “The Dough Show.”  A spectacle for the senses as the chef creates savory and sweet masterpieces with over 40 years of experience in the traditional art of Egyptian Pies.

September 26th features the colorful Colombian dancing by Huellas de Colombia with meaty platters of different culinary offerings at Simon Parilla Bar & Grill.

October 22nd at Virgin Island Thyme will fill patrons with savory foods and music of the islands. Chef Vern is a native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, known as the “American Paradise.” He started his culinary career in many of the Island’s best resorts – beginning as a culinary apprentice and eventually working his way up to Executive Sous Chef. He opened his restaurant with his son so they could share their passion for great food and Caribbean flavors inspired by the culture of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tickets for each evening include the full meal and programing put together by the FusionFest team. They are available online for the different events.

Restaurant seating capacities vary greatly, and are often fairly intimate so tickets frequently sell out, according to organizers.
