ICYMI: OPD Officers Transported to Hospital after Possible Fentanyl Exposure

Three Orlando Police Department officers were transported to the hospital late last month after possible exposure to fentanyl. Three additional officers also self transported as a precautionary measure.

Fentanyl is the leading cause of death among U.S. adults between 18 and 45 years old. Last year, OPD busted 53 fentanyl dealers in Orlando after a 9-month-long Operation Good Call. The fentanyl problem in Orlando has not changed much, with a recent bust by the Parramore Bikes squad that uncovered drugs and guns.

OPD Chief Orlando Rolón said he was happy to report that all OPD officers are now doing well. He thanked AdventHealth Orlando and Orlando Fire Department for their care
