ICE Raid at EDC Orlando Reported

An ICE raid at EDC Orlando was reported by a law firm.

The Arroyo Law Firm reported that they received multiple calls from new clients after reports that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted operations at EDC Orlando (Electric Daisy Carnival) and detained numerous immigrants.

ICE raid EDC Orlando“If you or a loved one was arrested or is facing criminal or immigration charges — you are not alone,” the Orlando lawyers posted. “At The Arroyo Law Firm, we are one of the few law firms in Florida that handle both criminal defense and immigration law — a specialized area known as ‘crimmigration.'”

Phillip Arroyo and Josephine Arroyo specialize in Criminal Defense, Immigration, Deportation Defense, ICE Holds, and Federal Court.

In one example of the ICE raid at EDC Orlando, a mother who said her son was detained called for legal help. He is here with legal status, with work permit and driver’s license, and no crime committed and no criminal history.

“And people wonder why Bad Bunny chose not to tour here,” attorney and partner Josephine Arroyo posted.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, a Democrat, backed down to Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier on immigration enforcement. Mayor Buddy Dyer even defended the Orlando Police Department’s agreement to assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, also a Democrat who is now running for Governor, also backed down to Republicans on the immigration enforcement issue, making Democrats question their elected representation locally.

“I want to assure you that we take your letter, Florida law, and federal immigration law very seriously,” Democratic Mayor Buddy Dyer wrote at the time as he appeared to support demands from Republicans. “Neither I nor the Orlando Police Department have any intention of violating federal or state law, and as you know, we have signed the Memorandum of Agreement 287(g) Task Force Model with ICE, an executed copy of which is attached. Our OPD officers are in the process of being trained by ICE to provide assistance at its direction. We assure you we will continue to use our best efforts to support the enforcement of federal immigration law, as well as state law.”
