The father of a Chechen man who was killed last week in Orlando said his son was executed by FBI agents.

Abdul-Baki Todashev, the father of Ibragim Todashev said, his son was shot six times in his torso and sustained one gunshot in the back of his head, according to news reports.

While details are sketchy, the FBI was interviewing Ibragim Todashev in connection with his links to Boston Marathon bombing suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev and a triple murder in Massachusetts in 2011, when a “violent confrontation” erupted, early reports said.

Todashev, 27, was shot and killed by FBI agents at the Windhover Apartments near Universal Studios, one week ago.  Initial reports from law enforcement were that Todashev wielded a knife.  Subsequently, that story was amended to no, he didn’t have a knife and was unarmed at the time of the fatal shooting, according to news reports.

Meanwhile, an advocacy group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations has asked the U.S. Department of Justice, to open a civil rights investigation into how Todashev was killed.
