U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia L. Fudge is hosting a virtual ‘House Party’ to share information on available federal resources and bust common myths around the homebuying process. The event will take place on November 1, 2022 at 6:30pm EST.
This event is designed to encourage young adults who wish to become homeowners but feel the barriers are too steep, especially in communities of color.
Secretary Fudge and special guests for a lively discussion on pathways to homeownership and overcoming barriers like credit, student loan debt, and down payment savings. Guests will include young adults with lived experience of becoming a homeowner.
“This is a party with a purpose, and we look forward to breaking things down and sharing resources that can help on your homeownership journey,” the event invite said.
