Home at Last, a special project of the West Orange Habitat for Humanity, must find a sixth veteran family to help by September 1 or risk losing financial support from one of their key benefactors. The veteran chosen must have been permanently disabled from injuries sustained in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars and must be willing to relocate their family to a West Orange County community.
Home at Last was founded in 2007. The organization’s core mission is provide at least one handicap accessible, mortgage free home to one such veteran every year. They have not found such a veteran yet this year, and there are only 7 weeks left until the September 1 funding deadline.
Interested parties should contact founder Bill Criswell immediately. He can be reached at [email protected] or by phone at 407-876-2472.
