A 17-year-old high school student was arrested Wednesday, after a loaded handgun was discovered, investigators said.
Russell Teague, who attends Colonial High School, was arrested after investigators found a loaded small-caliber handgun in his backpack.
The investigation was initiated after an Orange County Sheriff’s Office SRO made contact with Teague regarding a follow-up investigation by the Orlando Police Department.
According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, the weapon was placed into evidence and Teague was arrested and transported to the J.A.C.
