Lift Orlando hosted a ribbon-cutting celebration for the soon-to-open Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center. The $13.5M project makes history as the first-ever, large-scale collaboration between Lift Orlando, AdventHealth, Orlando Health, and Florida Blue.
The 30,000-square-foot health and wellness center aims to combat health inequities by providing convenient access to holistic health, financial, and lifestyle services in the 32805 zip code.
The state-of-the-art center was intentionally designed to combat deep-rooted healthcare disparities in historically Black neighborhoods near Camping World Stadium called The Communities of West Lakes. It features a comprehensive healthcare center, regardless of insurance coverage, financial and business resources, health and wellness classes, healthy food options, and gathering places.
The Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center is the cornerstone of the $100M West Lakes Community Campus envisioned by Lift Orlando to reverse the decades of disinvestment in the area. The center will serve as an economic engine for the community and create approximately 40 full-time jobs.
