Goodwill Central Florida Resumes Free Monthly Webinars for Job Seekers

For many people, the search for a job is a job, and Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is here to help. The organization is resuming its popular, free monthly webinar series, which is designed to coach jobseekers on different aspects of the process – including the hunt itself.




At a time when employers nationwide added a reported 223,000 jobs in December alone, many Central Floridians are looking for their next career opportunity, making Goodwill’s virtual job connection services a vital community resource. Anyone needing assistance with their search can register for any (or all) of the six different web sessions available each month.

The topics include:

  • Job Searching 101 – Advice on avoiding the most common mistakes
  • Career Exploration – How to explore potential new career paths that align with one’s interests and skills
  • Resume Prep – Proper resume formatting and key words hiring managers look for
  • Professional Networking – Tips on building connections and professional relationships
  • Sealing and Expunging a Record – Legal experts discuss the process and eligibility criteria
  • Interviewing Success – How to answer the most common interview questions and leave an impression

The organization is also actively recruiting new employees to fill a variety of roles, including managerial and director-level positions, such as Retail store management, marketing, facilities and construction, employee relations and payroll.

For more than 60 years, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida has been collecting and selling donated merchandise, which has provided vocational training and job placement services to hundreds of thousands of people.
