Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently announced the appointment of five members to the Board of Professional Engineers.
The Republican Florida Governor announced the appointment of Christopher Forehand and Richard Temple and the reappointment of Dylan Albergo, Jeb Mulock, and Brock Shrader to the Board of Professional Engineers.
With over 46,000 Professional Engineers licensed in the state, the Florida Board of Professional Engineers states it is committed to protecting the interest of public health and safety by properly regulating the practice of engineering.
Christopher Forehand is the President of Panhandle Engineering, Inc. Active in his community, he is a member of the Florida Engineering Society and previously served as a member of the Florida State University Panama City Development Board. Forehand earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Florida State University.
Richard Temple is the Regional Director of Walter P. Moore. Active in his community, he previously served as a member of the American Concrete Institute and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida Board of Directors and was a founding member of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Florida Structural Engineers Association. Temple earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nottingham.
Dylan Albergo is the Lead Engineer at the Tampa Office of TLP Engineering Consultants. Active is his community, he is a member of the Florida Engineering Society and was the recipient of the 2019 Florida Engineering Society Young Engineer of the Year Award for the Tampa Bay Chapter. Albergo earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Florida State University and his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida.
Jeb Mulock is the President and Owner of ZNS Engineering of Bradenton. Active in his community, he is a member of the Kiwanis of Bradenton and previously served as a member of the Manatee County Children Services Advisory Board. Mulock earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Citadel and his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of South Florida.
Brock Shrader is the President of Wilson & Girgenti, P.A. He was listed as a recipient of the 2022 and 2023 Best Companies to Work For from Florida Trend. Shrader earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his juris doctor from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
The Florida Board of Professional Engineers is established under Chapter 471, Florida Statutes, Engineering, and is composed of 11 members, nine of whom are licensed Professional Engineers representing multiple disciplines and two laypersons who are not and never have been engineers or members of any closely related profession or occupation. All members are appointed by the governor for terms of four years each.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
