Rep. Geraldine Thompson is taking no prisoners in her bid to represent the people of state Senate District 12. During a campaign event on Friday at Saint Mark A.M.E. church for the Bethune-Cookman Alumni Association, Thompson attacked the Siplins and called them “sellouts.”
Thompson and Victoria Siplin, wife of state senator Gary Siplin, are locked in a political grudge match, as both are vying for the same seat.
Victoria, who rarely speaks publicly, surprised everyone and addressed the crowd. In particular, she mentioned her willingness to fight against Republicans and Gov. Rick Scott, if elected.
But when it was Thompson’s turn to speak, she did not hold back.
Thompson laid into Gary, for his record of disserve to the people of his district. According to her, the Siplins would “sell you for 30 cents” if they could. There was no stopping Thompson, who appeared to be on a roll.
As the drama unfolded as Thompson hammered home her message, the Siplins stood off to the side with their mouths’ agape in disbelief. Shock filled the room – someone dared to call the Siplins out publicly. But once Thompson concluded her demolition job the audience erupted with loud applause, as if concurring with her assessment of Gary and Victoria.
Thompson, hands down, won Round one. As we inch closer to Election Day, the race for Senate District 12 should be a lot of fun to watch.
I beared witness to that Pimp slap Friday night that Rep. Thompson delivered on the Siplins; while my comments endorses neither candidate (yet) ….I thought I was ringside to the Friday Night fight when Rep Thompson took to the mic. Theres more where that came from and I’m following the trail. Politics in it’s truest form!
GERALDINE THOMPSON calling the Siplins “sellouts” is like the pot calling the kettle black
It was GERALDINE THOMPSON who was the slavemaster to the President Of Valencia Community College for over 20 years playing the “HO– — USE N*GGA” and turning away dozens of Black people who filed discrimination complaints against the school.
Thompson was ‘double dipping” and collecting income from (2) full-time state jobs which is not only illegal but highly unethical.
