Gatorade announced today, Tuesday, December 8th, that they would be discontinuing the Gatorade Tiger Focus drink.
According to the announcement, Gatorade said that their decision had nothing to do with the recent events surrounding the world’s number one golfer Tiger Woods. Rather, their decision was made months ago to discontinue this beverage, as there are plans for new product lines.
Gatorade also said that the dropping of this particular product line, Gatorade Tiger focus drink would not affect their broader relationship with Woods.
Tiger Woods has been caught up in a series of scandals related to extra-marital affairs that he had with various women, which came to light following his single-accident car crash yards away from his multi-million dollar home in the exclusive Isleworth community, near Orlando.
Rumors have continued to swirl that Woods’ car crash may have been caused from alcohol and prescribed medication which the golfer was taking at the time.
There are also reports that the number of extra-marital affairs that Woods engaged in might be more than seven. Woods is married to Elin Nordegren, a Swedish blonde and they currently have two young children.
