Full Sail University shared that 14 graduates were credited on five Oscar-winning releases across 11 categories this year.
Full Sail graduates worked on movies like Wicked, A Complete Unknown, The Substance, The Wild Robot, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, and Anora- and two alumni, Nancy Nugent Title and Gary A. Rizzo, were nominated for their own Oscars.
The 97th Annual Academy Awards were broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, March 2nd and aired live on ABC.
During this year’s awards, Full Sail University graduates worked in roles such as Supervising Sound Editor, Content Protection Executive, Animator, Assistant Editor, and more on winning projects.
“We feel a great sense of pride for all the dedication each graduate has put into their work behind the scenes on this past year’s motion pictures,” said Jay Noble, Vice President of Alumni. “Congratulations to our graduates who worked on Oscar nominated and winning releases. Seeing their talents honored is truly memorable for our community!”
Full Sail University alumni contributed to winning projects including Wicked, which won in categories like Costume Design and Production Design. Graduates also contributed to the Oscar-winning release Anora, which won in categories including Writing (Original Screenplay), Film Editing, Best Directing, and Best Picture.
At the 97th Annual Academy Awards ceremony, 47 Full Sail graduates were credited on 18 nominated projects across 21 categories.
