Florida Woman Arrested for Fraudulent Bank Withdrawal

A Florida woman was arrested for a fraudulent bank withdrawal using stolen identity documents.




St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Operations Bureau deputies recently responded to a banking institution regarding a report of a subject attempting to complete a fraudulent withdrawal.

Further investigation revealed the subject had entered the financial institution and attempted to withdraw funds under a false identity and using false documents.

The subject completed a withdrawal form in the amount of $8,400, signing the document with a fictitious name, according to local law enforcement. She then presented the completed form to a teller along with a U.S. passport identification card bearing her photograph but the name of another individual.

The subject was identified as 45-year-old Idania I. Diaz Onieva, of Hialeah, Florida.

She was taken into custody and incarcerated at the St. Lucie County Jail. She faced charges including: Fraud – Possession of Similitude Card, Fraud – Impersonation, Use/Possess Identification of Another, Larceny – Grand Theft, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
