Florida Senator Rick Scott slammed Democrats for the current federal government shutdown on national news.
Republican Senator Rick Scott joined Fox and Friends to call out Democrats for shutting down the government “over their liberal trillion dollar wish-list,” while Republicans push for a clean proposal to fund the government and serve the American people.
“This is all about how do you hurt Trump,? How do you hurt Trump? How do you hurt Trump?” Senator Scott said on FoxNews.
The Florida Republican Senator added he wants to cut more government and reduce spending, saying he does not like Continuing Resolutions but he supports it to keep the government open. He insisted Congress must pass a budget.

Florida Senator Rick Scott also highlighted his No Budget, No Pay Act to hold members of Congress accountable for passing a budget and meeting appropriations deadlines, or forgo their pay, and his work with Senator Ron Johnson to take Democrats’ threat of shutdowns off the table completely with the Eliminate Shutdowns Act.
Senator Scott has been fighting to pass the No Budget, No Pay Act in the Senate since 2019 as a key part of his Make Washington Work Plan.

I believe Democrats are the ONLY people trying to protect our Health Insurance. The Republicans could care less about working people. I have always been a Republican until Trump. I believe he wants to be a Dictator and break everyone but his little group.
