Greer said in a statement that, Obama’s “eloquent speech is not enough to convince voters, especially when the policies coming from this White House are so obviously flawed.”  He said that Obama will learn when he visits the Sunshine State later today that Floridians expect results that “resonate across the aisle”.

“Tonight’s speech was a classic example of the President’s ability to convey, in a very eloquent way, an essentially meaningless message. The President might be able to offer excuses, blame and political rhetoric as an explanation for his failed policies to Washington liberals, but as the President will learn when he travels to the Sunshine State tomorrow, Floridians expect results that resonate across the aisle, and won’t settle for back room deals and sound bite solutions.

“An eloquent speech is not enough to convince voters, especially when the policies coming from this White House are so obviously flawed. We have already seen that President Obama has no coattails in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts; three states that the President won in the fall of 2008. With Democrats like Alex Sink and Kendrick Meek continuing to embrace his big-government agenda, President Obama will not have coattails in Florida either.
