The Florida Lottery announced that Shuangjie Fan, of Wellington, claimed the $5,000 a week for life top prize from the $5,000 A Week For Life scratch-off game.
The South Florida man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,897,000.
The Palm Beach County winner purchased his winning ticket from Wellington Marathon, located at 2741 S. State Road 7 in Wellington.
He claimed his winning prize at the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office.
For just $10, win over $158 million in total cash prizes with the new $5,000 A Week For Life scratch-off game. Players can win one of four top prizes of $5,000 a week for life. There are two top prizes remaining according to the Florida Lottery.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.30.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $66.9 billion in prizes, created 2,350 millionaires, and generated more than $20.09 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
